It is 100% virgin polypropylene fiber, designed to act as a reinforcement in concrete. It is extruded into a film and fibrillated to form a network of multifilaments (Collated Fibrillated Polypropylene). When added to concrete, it forms a synthetic network that controls cracks three-dimensionally from their point of origin.
